This Privacy Policy explains how T.E.L.C Good Shepherd Church (“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, shares, and protects personal information when you use our website, mobile app, and related services (collectively, the “Services”).

The mobile app does not let users create new accounts in-app. Accounts and membership records are created and maintained by church staff when a person is physically present at the church or otherwise contacts the church directly.

1. Information We Collect

  • Contact information: name, phone number, email address, mailing address.
  • Account and membership information: login details, membership status, family or profile details, dates of birth, baptism, confirmation, marriage, gender, occupation, and similar church record information.
  • Transaction information: donation or payment amount, transaction status, and related billing or receipt details. Payment card details are handled by our payment processor and are not intended to be stored by us in full.
  • Communication information: messages, support requests, form submissions, and other information you send to us.
  • Device and app information: device type, operating system, app version, IP address, crash logs, diagnostic data, push notification token, and similar technical information.
  • Sign-in information: if you sign in with Google or Apple, we may receive the name, email address, and identifier those services make available to us.
  • User-provided content: any information you choose to upload or submit through the Services.

2. How We Collect Information

We collect information:

  • Directly from you when you fill out forms, make a payment, contact us, provide information to church staff, or update your profile.
  • Automatically when you use the website or app, including through cookies, analytics-like technical logs, crash reporting, and push notification services.
  • From service providers that help us operate the Services, such as authentication, hosting, messaging, payment, and crash reporting providers.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your personal information to:

  • Access and manage existing church-created accounts and membership records.
  • Provide church and community services.
  • Communicate announcements, reminders, support responses, and service updates.
  • Process payments, donations, and related receipts.
  • Send push notifications and important service messages.
  • Secure the Services, detect abuse, debug problems, and improve performance.
  • Comply with legal, tax, accounting, and record-keeping obligations.

  • Google Sign-In or Sign in with Apple for authentication.
  • Push notification delivery services.
  • Payment processing services for donations or other payments.

10. Account Deletion and Data Removal

If you use the in-app Delete Account screen, your login and account data on this device and on our server will be deleted immediately.

To activate online account access again after deletion, signup will be required.

Membership records and other offline church-managed data are handled by church staff. To remove membership or offline data, contact your church through https://telcgsc.org/contact/.

11. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

12. Children

Our Services are not intended to collect personal information from children without appropriate parental or guardian involvement where required by law. If we learn that we collected information from a child in violation of applicable law, we will take appropriate steps to delete it.

13. International Transfers

Your information may be processed in countries other than where you live. When that happens, we take steps designed to protect the information in line with applicable law.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will post the updated version on our website and update the “Last updated” date above.
